Semester(s) of Assignment: Fall semester (8/26/24 – 12/20/24) and Spring semester (1/13/25 – 5/8/25)

General Qualifications:

  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Must report to work on time
  • Organizational skills helpful
  • Must be able to work in cold and hot temperatures
  • Must always let the supervisor know when you can’t make it in to work

Purpose or Role of the Position within the Organization:
To provide support to the staff and students in the Al Pollard Culinary Arts Program by ensuring an organized, safe environment for education, training and special events.

Duties/Responsibilities of the Position and How they Relate to the Purpose or Role

This position requires being able to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds and stacking such in given places for storage. It requires being able to count items in both storage areas and in the freezer and walk-in coolers for ordering purposes. The person in this position will become familiar with ways to clean surfaces and assure they are sanitized for food service use. They will be responsible for tearing down cardboard boxes and recycling them in the appropriate area. Sweeping and mopping will also be required as well as cleaning off shelves in the dry storage and other areas. The person must be willing to do other duties as assigned in the event the need should arise.

Performance Evaluations will be conducted shortly before the end of the job assignment.
