Incidents & Statistics

The safety and security of students, employees, and visitors to Virginia Western is of paramount importance to us. To that end the college provides a Daily Crime Log consisting of criminal incidents and alleged criminal incidents.

Our goal is to maintain a written, easily understood daily crime log that records; type of crime, criminal case number, date and time reported, date and time of occurrence, where in our campus geography the crime is said to have occurred, and the case’s final disposition.

Archived Reports

Hazing Transparency Report

In accordance with Virginia Western Community College Policy I-87, Hazing, the College maintains and publishes a Hazing Transparency Report regarding student organizations found responsible for hazing violations.

Current Report

Virginia Western Community College has no findings of responsibility for hazing violations by student organizations to report at this time. The Hazing Transparency Report is updated in accordance with College policy and maintained on the College website for a minimum of 10 years. For additional information about hazing, including prohibited conduct, prevention, and reporting, please review Policy I-87, Hazing. Hazing statistics required under the Clery Act are reported separately in Virginia Western’s Annual Security Report.
