The skilled trades programs at Virginia Western are designed to provide students with the basic skills necessary to obtain entry-level positions. Employment opportunities include carpentry, electrical, HVAC, horticulture hard-scaping, general construction, plumbing and welding. Many of our courses within the programs are tied to industry certifications.

Certificate & Career Studies Certificate: 1-2 year programs that prepare students to directly enter the workforce
Credentials & Career Skills: Short-term training that prepares students to directly enter the workforce with recognizable credentials and training (non-credit)
