For all online courses (i.e. courses that do not require a face to face meeting with faculty), a minimum of one proctored activity (test, quiz or assignment) must be included in the course. A proctored activity is operationally defined as a required graded activity delivered in a setting that is supervised by an approved, impartial person (a proctor) who verifies the identity of the student through a government issued photo ID and ensures the security and integrity of the environment in which the academic activity will be completed. This can be accomplished using one of the college’s official Testing Centers or the use of an alternative proctoring location as delineated in Policy I-61 Off-Campus Proctoring.
