Virginia Western Community College is committed to providing digital information, services, and resources that are accessible to the widest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities.
The college works to make its websites, documents, forms, applications, multimedia, learning platforms, online courses, third-party tools, and other digital content accessible and usable for students, employees, and members of the public.
Virginia Western’s digital accessibility work is guided by Policy I-89: Digital Accessibility and uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, currently WCAG 2.1 Level AA, as a primary technical standard.
Digital accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. Some older content, documents, or third-party systems may not yet fully meet current accessibility standards. When barriers are identified, the college will review the issue and work to correct it or provide the information, service, or resource in an alternative accessible format when appropriate.
