The Virginia Western Community College Educational Foundation assists students in and out of the classroom as they balance their educational goals and real-life demands. We fund scholarships, provide emergency funds, support a food co-op and actively seek out other vital initiatives.

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

CCAP

Virginia Western’s Community College Access Program is the largest college “promise” program in the Commonwealth. Each year, we work with public and private partners to support recent high school graduates from Botetourt, Craig, Franklin, and Roanoke counties and the cities of Roanoke and Salem. The CCAP application opens in October each year for admission the following fall.

Student Co-Op

With our partners Kroger and Kraft Heinz, we take aim at food insecurity by providing a convenient drop-in location on campus where students can fuel up and stay focused on class.

Student Emergency Fund

An unforeseen financial crisis can swiftly derail a student’s career. The Educational Foundation provides one-time assistance to help them stay afloat and continue pursuing their educational goals.
