There are hundreds of openings in Roanoke in settings such as long-term care centers, assisted living facilities, hospitals, home health care businesses, and even doctor’s offices.

Employment as a CNA is one step on the nursing career pathway and a useful introduction to patient care. Duties may include measuring patient vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing and dressing, making beds and safely transferring patients from beds to chairs. The work is challenging, but caring for others can be rewarding.  Many LPNs and RNs started as a CNA.

Successful graduates will be qualified to take the NNAAP exam leading to certification as a nurse aide (CNA)!
