Virginia Western Community College knows that in order to succeed in the classroom, your needs must be met outside of the classroom.
Single Stop is an online screening tool that can estimate what supplemental resources you might be eligible to receive, like:
- Government Benefits (SNAP, WIC, etc.)
- Educational Resources
- Community Support
- Health Insurance Options
It’s available to all students, whether you take classes full-time, part-time, in-person or remotely.
3 Easy Steps to Check Your Eligibility
- Go to the Single Stop Screener at https://app.singlestop.org/vccs/virginiawcc.
- Click “Sign Up”. Use your email address as the username and create a password for your account. Make sure to include a phone number.
- Take 5-10 minutes to complete your information. It will automatically calculate your possible eligibility. Make sure you hit the “send” button.
A Virginia Western staff member will contact you to explore your options in receiving benefits.
