The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Career Studies Certificate allows students the opportunity to pursue certifications in CPR, Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and HazMat Awareness.  These certifications are obtained through the Department of Fire Programs and the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Graduates who successfully complete the NREMT certification exam will become a state certified EMT and will be Nationally Registered as an EMT.
