The Virginia Western Legal Office Assisting CSC equips you with the skills needed to work alongside attorneys and paralegals while gaining a basic understanding of both civil and criminal law. You will learn to assist paralegals and attorneys with conducting legal research, managing schedules and communicating with clients, essential tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the legal process.

Along with earning a Career Studies Certificate, you will have the opportunity to earn Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Once you are ready to take the next steps in your legal career, the Legal Assistant CSC classes apply directly to the Paralegal Studies program.
