Appalachian Power Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related fees to students enrolled in the Engineering and Technology Program. Students must maintain 9 credit hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Priority is given to Appalachian Power employees and their dependents; if none apply, then preference is given to those demonstrating financial need.2.509 creditsEngineering
Elizabeth "Liz" Reed Carter Educational Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition to a student enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester in a program of study. Applicants must possess a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA, and pursuing degrees or certificates in horticulture, environmental studies, plant science or forestry.2.006 creditsBTT

Fralin & Waldron, Inc. Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Craig E. ViaFunds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for tuition, books and other related fees to students enrolled in Engineering: Engineering Construction or MSET: Design Engineering Technology. Students must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Priority is given to those demonstrating financial need.3.006 creditsArchitectural or Civil Engineering
Lucian Y. and June B. Grove Honorary Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses to students enrolled in the Engineering Program. If no Engineering student is eligible for this scholarship, consideration will be given to a student enrolled in the Education Track Program. The student must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average, and may be enrolled full or part time. The student must detail commitment to living and working in the Roanoke Region and Commonwealth of Virginia in the section provided on the scholarship application. Raymond and Melvin Hubbard Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses to students enrolled in the Advanced Technology in Mechatronics program with demonstrated financial need and a minimum 2.5 grade point average. ITT Exelis Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related fees to a full-time second year student with a minimum 3.0 GPA pursuing a degree or certificate program in Engineering, Mechatronics Systems Engineering Technology or Advanced Technology in Mechatronics. Applicants must have resided in the greater Roanoke Valley for more than two years. Priority is given to students demonstrating financial need. Prabhat Jain Engineering/Technical Scholarship (Virginia Transformer Corporation)Provides assistance for tuition to a student enrolled in at least 9 credits per semester in an Engineering/Technical program of study. Applicants must possess a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and be registered in an Engineering/Technical program. Preference will be given to minority students and those students who demonstrate financial need.3.009 creditsEngineering/Technical
Nicholas E. Janney Memorial ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related expenses for students in the Automotive Technology Program or the Engineering Program, with a preference given to students in the Automotive Technology Program. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Priority is given to those demonstrating financial need, with a preference for recent graduates from Botetourt County.2.006 creditsAutomotive Technology

Stanard and Betty Lanford Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related expenses to students enrolled in the Engineering Division. Preference is given to students who graduated from William Fleming High School, but if none are eligible, others may apply. Priority is given to students demonstrating financial need.2.006 creditsEngineering
Dr. Elizabeth W. Payne Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for books and technical support expenses to a student enrolled full-time or part-time in the Business Sciences Division with a concentration in one or more of the following: Accounting, AST, Business Administration, Clerical Studies, Legal Assisting, Management, Medical Transcription, Microcomputer Systems Technology, Office Technology, and Office Assistant. Priority is given to students demonstrating financial need. The recipient will continue to receive the scholarship in the fall and spring semesters for two years if the student maintains the criteria set by this scholarship.2.0012 creditsBusiness programs
John Morris Roslyn Educational ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses for students in the programs of Math, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Engineering (concentrating on Robotics or Mini Baja program) who meet the following criteria:

-- The recipient must be a US citizen and a resident of Virginia for at least one year;
-- The recipient must demonstrate financial need with preference given to those who have overcome adversity or shown tenacity in bettering themselves;
-- The recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours and maintain a 3.0 grade point average;
-- The recipient will continue to receive the scholarship in the fall and spring semesters for up to three years if he/she maintains the criteria set by this scholarship;
-- Recipients will receive additional funds per year if GPA is 3.5 or higher for the year, paid after each year is completed.

Dolores Martin Skelly Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and other related fees to students enrolled in an Associate of Science program in Science: Integrated Environmental Studies or in Science: Mathematics. Students must be graduates of Patrick Henry or William Fleming high schools in the city of Roanoke. Walter Darnall Vinyard Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, lab fees, and living expenses to students with a minimum 3.0 grade point average who are pursuing a degree in Nursing or the Applied Sciences. Priority is given to those demonstrating financial need.3.006 creditsNursing/Applied Sciences
Virginia Western BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) Annual ScholarshipConsistent with the purpose of the Scholarship, funds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for tuition to a student enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester in a communications/advertising program of study. Applicable coursework at time of establishment includes:

Applicants must possess a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Preference will be given to students of color to address diversity in the advertising field and in Virginia Western's programs. Priority will be given to students demonstrating financial need.

Wade Memorial Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition to a full or part-time student, enrolled in either a program of study (excluding liberal arts or social sciences) or pursuing an industry recognized certificate or credential. Preference will be given to African American students to address diversity in in Virginia Western's programs. Applicants must possess a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, demonstrate financial need and be employed in the community. The personal statement must indicate volunteerism in any one or more of the following: church or religious affiliation, education, athletics, or non-profit service.2.506 creditsNon-LASS
