Diana D. Good Memorial ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related fees to students who are enrolled in the Early Childhood Development Program. Students must have completed 6 credits in the Program and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Students must also detail their intention to complete the Early Childhood Development Program in the section provided on the scholarship application when applying. Lucian Y. and June B. Grove Honorary Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses to students enrolled in the Engineering Program. If no Engineering student is eligible for this scholarship, consideration will be given to a student enrolled in the Education Track Program. The student must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average, and may be enrolled full or part time. The student must detail commitment to living and working in the Roanoke Region and Commonwealth of Virginia in the section provided on the scholarship application. Beverly and Leon Harris Teaching and Nursing Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related fees to a student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who intends to pursue a career in teaching or who is pursuing a degree in Nursing or a certificate in Practical Nursing. HoneyTree Early Learning Center Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and other related fees to full-time (12 credits) students with a minimum 2.5 grade point average who are enrolled in the Early Childhood Development Program. James Mark Mitchell Memorial Art Endowed ScholarhipProvides assistance to full-time students enrolled in the Visual Design Program with a minimum 2.75 grade point average. The student must detail his/her commitment to visual design and community service in the section provided on the scholarship application. One of the letters of recommendation required for the scholarship application must come from a Virginia Western Visual Design faculty member.2.7512 creditsVisual Design
David L. Nickerson Honorary Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, fees, and books to students who are enrolled in a Liberal Arts program, and who have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Priority is given to students with demonstrated financial need.3.006 creditsLiberal Arts
Pearman Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related expenses to second-year students enrolled in the Visual Design Program on a full or part-time basis. Heavy emphasis will be placed on the merit of the student’s portfolio. Scholarship applicant's portfolio is due in the Foundation office (214 Fishburn Hall) on a date before the application deadline designated on the scholarship application.2.006 creditsVisual Design
Barry L. Pendrey Memorial ScholarshipProvides assistance to students enrolled in the Criminal Justice Program, with a minimum 2.5 grade point average. To be eligible, students must have completed 24 credit hours and have a letter of recommendation from a Criminal Justice faculty member. Students must detail their interest in a career in Criminal Justice in the section provided on the scholarship application.2.5024 credits completed

Virginia Western BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) Annual ScholarshipConsistent with the purpose of the Scholarship, funds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for tuition to a student enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester in a communications/advertising program of study. Applicable coursework at time of establishment includes:

- Communication Design (LASS)
- Management (BTT)
- Administrative Management Technology (BTT)
- CSC Degrees
- Web Programmer (STEM)
- Management: Entrepreneurship (BTT)

Applicants must possess a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Preference will be given to students of color to address diversity in the advertising field and in Virginia Western's programs. Priority will be given to students demonstrating financial need.

George T. Wade Memorial Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition to a full or part-time student, enrolled in either a program of study (excluding liberal arts or social sciences) or pursuing an industry recognized certificate or credential. Preference will be given to African American students to address diversity in in Virginia Western's programs. Applicants must possess a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, demonstrate financial need and be employed in the community. The personal statement must indicate volunteerism in any one or more of the following: church or religious affiliation, education, athletics, or non-profit service.2.506 creditsNon-LASS
Donald Willson Memorial ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses to students majoring in Liberal Arts. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits, with a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
