Linda French Cecil Memorial ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition to a (one) student enrolled in at least 3 credits per semester/credits dictated by program in a nursing/nursing related program of study. Applicants must possess a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students identifying as female and/or first-generation students. Orrin Clifton Annual ScholarshipFunds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses for students who are enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program. Rita Halsey David Radiography Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, supplies, and other needs to students enrolled in the Radiography Program with a minimum 2.5 grade point average. Priority is given to those demonstrating financial need.2.506 creditsRadiography
Delta Dental Annual Scholarship for Dental HygieneProvides assistance for tuition, books and fees for student(s) enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester/credits dictated by the Dental Hygiene program of study. Applicants must possess a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Preference will be given to students of underserved communities. Preference will be given to students who agree to a rotation in a safety net facility. Delta Dental will provide a listing of safety net facilities in the Virginia Western service area and will facilitate introductions for scholarship recipients. Neither preference stated is a requirement for eligibility for award. Eligible students may receive the award in subsequent semesters.2.006 creditsDental Hygiene
Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation Endowed ScholarshipFunds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for tuition, books and other related fees (including national and clinical examination fees) to a full-time student with a minimum 3.5 GPA pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in the dental hygiene program. Before applying, applicants must have successfully completed prerequisite coursework and been accepted into Virginia Western's dental hygiene program. The scholarship will be awarded to the same recipient for two consecutive years, contingent upon continued eligibility.3.5012 creditsDental Hygiene

Katherine Futrell Memorial Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition and books to full-time students with a minimum 3.5 grade point average. Dr. Donna Harpold Memorial Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses to second-year students in the Nursing Program who have demonstrated academic potential and professionalism. Preference is given to single caregivers.2.006 creditsNursing
Beverly and Leon Harris Teaching and Nursing Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related fees to a student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who intends to pursue a career in teaching or who is pursuing a degree in Nursing or a certificate in Practical Nursing. Petroleum Marketers, Inc. Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, and other related fees to students enrolled full-time. Priority will be given to Petroleum Marketers, Inc. employees and their dependents. If none apply, priority is given to those demonstrating financial need. Preference will be given to those students enrolled in the Nursing Program.2.0012 creditsNursing

Richfield Living Annual Nursing ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books and fees for a first or second year student enrolled in and in good standing with the Licensed Practical or Registered Nursing program at Virginia Western. Will fund up to 15 credit hours of course work during the fall and spring semesters and will fund the respective cost of programmatic textbooks during the same fall and spring semesters. Recipients of this scholarship must meet with a representative of Richfield Living to mutually agree upon a working connection with Richfield Living as a final requirement of receiving the scholarship. The employment agreement shall be for a term of either 12 months or 24 months, based on the duration of the scholarship funding provided to the scholarship recipient.2.006 creditsNursing
Roanoke Valley Academy of Medicine Alliance Foundation Endowed ScholarshipFunds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for books and other related expenses to a student enrolled full-time in the Health Technology Division. Walter Darnall Vinyard Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition, books, lab fees, and living expenses to students with a minimum 3.0 grade point average who are pursuing a degree in Nursing or the Applied Sciences. George T. Wade Memorial Annual ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition to a full or part-time student, enrolled in either a program of study (excluding liberal arts or social sciences) or pursuing an industry recognized certificate or credential. Preference will be given to African American students to address diversity in in Virginia Western's programs. Applicants must possess a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, demonstrate financial need and be employed in the community. The personal statement must indicate volunteerism in any one or more of the following: church or religious affiliation, education, athletics, or non-profit service.2.506 creditsNon-LASS
Michael E. Warner Memorial Annual ScholarshipProvides award to cover full tuition, books, and other related fees to a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA enrolled in and pursing a degree in Nursing or certificate in Practical Nursing. Priority will be given to those students demonstrating financial need and who plan to remain in the College's service region after graduation to practice nursing (i.e., LPN or RN students). Current recipients are not required to reapply as long as criteria are met each semester.3.009 creditsNursing
Barbara McKinney Watts Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition and other related fees to an incoming student. Priority will be given to a student who is enrolled in the Pre-Nursing, LPN, or RN Nursing programs.2.006 creditsNursing
Alice Becker Hinchcliffe Williams Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for a first-year and a second-year student enrolled in the Dental Hygiene Program with a minimum 2.5 grade point average. J. David and Mary Ann Wine Endowed ScholarshipProvides assistance for tuition and related fees for a Virginia Western Community College student in good standing, enrolled in the Nursing AAS program with intention of transferring to the University of Virginia Bachelor of Science in Nursing (UVa BSN) program. Recipient must submit the FAFSA for the applicable year as part of the scholarship application process. Scholarship award is calculated on student account charges remaining after financial aid is applied. Recipient must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in all courses and be enrolled in no less than 6 credits each semester. Priority will be given to students demonstrating financial need. As available funding allows, recipient will receive such support for consecutive semesters until completion of the Nursing AAS degree.2.006 creditsNursing
