The purpose of all Developmental Math Courses at Virginia Western Community College is to assist students in developing competency in the skills that are necessary to succeed in college-level mathematics courses. These courses do not count as credit for any degree at VWCC but may be required as prerequisite courses depending on student placement. Please meet with your advisor to determine if you need to take Developmental Math courses.
