Science: Biotechnology Specialization

Do you like using your hands and your mind? Do you want to help solve crimes by studying the evidence left behind? If so, the Biotechnology Specialization at Virginia Western Community College can help you reach these goals. By completing the Biotechnology Associate of Science, you will be prepared to enter the work force in a wide variety of jobs. These include becoming a Biotechnology Laboratory Technician, Environmental Health and Safety Technician, or Forensic Scientist. You will also be ready to transfer to one of the many 4-year schools in Virginia and begin working in a research lab.
