Highlights
- Visited the Greenfield Education & Training Center to tour the welding, HVAC, and healthcare spaces that offer career training and education in the Botetourt region
- Facilitated an orientation session to welcome three new members to the Virginia Western Local Advisory Board
- Engaged with students in the Student Life Center for Peanut Butter & Jam and festive holiday photos
- Collaborated with internal stakeholders to prepare for upcoming initiatives, including digital accessibility, upcoming construction projects, and the launch of the new leadership development series
- Attended the Roanoke Higher Education Authority Board of Trustees annual meeting and Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meeting
- Joined fellow VCCS presidents at two Advisory Council of Presidents meetings and a Workforce Pell Rulemaking listening session; met individually with Dr. Rainone (Mountain Gateway)
- Connected with leadership from Roanoke Blacksburg Innovation Alliance and New River Community College to advance discussions on pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing in Virginia
- Attended several departmental year-end gatherings to celebrate the successes of 2025 and foster staff appreciation
