Summer BOLD 2022 is Here!!!
Virginia Western Community College and the Online Learning and Instructional Technology (OLIT) team are proud to offer another Boosting Online Learning Development (BOLD) program to instructors during the Summer 2022 term. Using one-time federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF II), the BOLD program is an intentional effort that to provide training and support for faculty to improve existing courses and adopt new modalities to meet the needs of students directly impacted by COVID-19.
The BOLD initiative is open to all full-time faculty and adjuncts that are planning to teach in the coming academic year. Please review the list of BOLD options (more limited than the summer) below and consider how to best meet your individual training and course development goals. When you are ready, click on the application link and complete the Google Form. Answer the questions as best you can, and your form will be forwarded to your School Dean / Department Head for approval.
Deadline to register: May 2, 2022
NOTE: If you would like to apply for more than one project, please submit a separate application for each.
Important Notes for all BOLD projects:
- While there are extensive funds available for this BOLD project, they are not endless. In the unlikely event that project applications exceed the available funds, prioritization will be based on date of submission.
- If you have an idea that does not fit neatly into one of these options, please discuss with your School Dean / Department Head. We will do our best to find a way to make it work.
- You must submit a separate application for each selected option.
