Virginia Western measures licensure success for programs that require external licensure exams during or after program completion. Virginia Western also measures industry credentials for career and technical education* (CTE) program students.
Goal 1: At least 75% of all programs with licensure exams will have licensure pass rates above the national average.
Conclusion: 100% of VWCC programs with licensure exams have licensure pass rates above the national average in 2019-2020. This exceeds the goal of 75%.
Goal 2: At least 25% of CTE students will earn an industry recognized credential.
Conclusion: In academic year 2019-2020, 25% of CTE students earned an industry recognized credential. This meets the goal.
* Career and Technical Education programs include Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees, Certificates (CERT), and Career Studies Certifications (CSC).
