In recognition of the importance of the Juneteenth holiday and in alignment with Governor Northam’s announcement of the state holiday, Virginia Western was closed Friday, June 19, 2020. As Governor Northam said, awareness and education are critical to eradicating institutional racism. Join us in reflection as we honor Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of ending slavery in the United States.
