Employee Giving Perfect Timing: Help Put Food Within Reach

Sometimes, perfect timing means making sure a student has one less thing to worry about.

The Virginia Western Student Food Co-op fueled by Kroger helps students access food and meal essentials when their budgets are stretched thin. For students balancing tuition, transportation, housing, work, and family responsibilities, having access to the Food Co-op can make an immediate difference.

When you support the Student Food Co-op through the Employee Giving Campaign, you help make sure students have access to basic necessities so they can focus more of their energy on learning, completing their coursework, and reaching their goals.

Congratulations to this week’s Employee Giving raffle winners!

  • Dale Dulaney – Roanoke Co-op gift card
  • Melissa Williams – Mill Mountain Zoo family pass
  • Nicole Bell – Gift certificate to the September 18 Community Arboretum Sale

Thank you to everyone who has already made a gift. Remember, a gift of $10 or more keeps your name in the prize pool for every remaining weekly drawing throughout the campaign.

Next week’s prizes include:

  • A gift certificate to the September 18 Community Arboretum Sale
  • Two tickets to the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra
  • One free scoop at Blue Cow Ice Cream
  • Five free medium frozen lemonades from Deb’s Frozen Lemonade

There is still plenty of time to participate before the Employee Giving Campaign ends on October 2.

Every gift helps make sure students have what they need at the moment they need it.

Giving is easy:

  • Make a secure online gift through the Employee Giving webpage.
  • Drop off your gift at the Educational Foundation Office (Business Science, M327).
  • Mail your gift to the Virginia Western Educational Foundation.

Thank you for helping care for our students in practical, immediate ways. Sometimes the right support at the right time can make all the difference.
