Welcome to everyone. As the semester gets underway, we would like to offer a friendly reminder about campus parking requirements. Please review the college’s Campus Map to familiarize yourself with the proper parking locations. We ask that you arrive at the campus early, so you limit the stress of finding a parking space at the last minute. Students and employees should park in their designated parking areas and lots. Campus Police will enforce the college’s parking policy (Policy Number: II-301) and may be issuing parking tickets for violations.
Where should you park??
White-lined parking spaces are student parking areas (unless otherwise noted by signage).
Yellow-lined parking spaces are Staff/Faculty parking areas (unless otherwise noted by signage).
Disabled/Handicap parking spaces require a DMV Handicap Placard or DMV issued license plate.
Stork parking spaces require a written parking permit issued by Campus Police.
Police and Maintenance spaces should remain clear for the purpose.
Parking lots 11 & 12 (Fishburn Hall and Brown Library) require either a yellow or green employee parking hang-tag. Please take note of the specific parking signs placed at the curbing of each space and park accordingly.
For those who are new to Virginia Western you should know that we do have an abundance of parking on campus. Unfortunately, this parking may not be readily available near your classroom. Please plan each day so the semester starts out smoothly. If a ticket for a violation were to be issued, you may follow the parking appeal requirements found within the college’s parking policy, or you may visit the Cashier’s window located on the top floor of Fishburn Hall to settle the matter. If you have questions or would like to speak with an officer, please contact Campus Police at (540) 857-7979. Please be safe!
