The time has come. The SACSCOC on-site committee will be here next week. They will be on campus on Tuesday, October 3rd and Wednesday, October 4th.
How can you prepare/help?
- Know VWCC’s mission.
- Act with integrity – if a committee member asks a question that you don’t know the answer to, say “I don’t know, but let me go find out the answer and get back to you.”
- Committee members may ask for documentation the week of their visit – if anyone from the IE office contacts you for information, please be flexible and ready to provide print copies of the documentation.
- Committee members may ask for additional meetings during the week of their visit – if you need to be interviewed, the IE office will let you know as soon as possible. Please be as flexible as possible to accommodate these meetings.
Remember, the SACSCOC committee consists of presidents, administrators, and
faculty members from other institutions. They understand the complexity of the SACSCOC
standards, and they want us to succeed in our review!
