2024-25 General Education Assessment Results

As mandated by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), Virginia Western measured two general education competencies in 2024-25: Civic Engagement and Professional Readiness. A summary of these results can be found on our website at General Education Success – Student Achievement Goals – Virginia Western Community College.

To directly measure these competencies, faculty used Canvas Outcomes to assess these learning outcomes on assignments in their classes.
