One of the most important things to remember about giving to the Virginia Western Educational Foundation is that your gift can help current students in real time.
These are students who are sitting in our classrooms, walking across campus and working toward their futures right now.
Your gift might help provide a scholarship that makes college possible for a student. It might support the Student Emergency Fund when an unexpected expense threatens to derail someone’s semester. It might help a student with the cost of a certification exam or another expense standing between them and the completion of their program. It can also support resources like the Virginia Western Student Food Co-op fueled by Kroger, helping students meet basic needs so they can stay focused on their education.
In many cases, the students benefiting from employee giving are students you already know.
Employee participation also sends an important message beyond the dollars we raise. When foundations, granting organizations and other donors consider investing in Virginia Western, strong faculty and staff participation demonstrates that we believe in our students, we believe in this institution and we are personally invested in its success.
And remember, the amount isn’t the most important part. Participation is.
A gift of $10 or more also enters you into our weekly prize drawings, and once you qualify, you remain in the drawing pool for the rest of the campaign!
