To all faculty and staff who are participating in Commencement 2024:

Thank you to everyone who is finishing up the semester and working hard to make sure our students are positioned to move closer to their goals!
By now you have ordered your regalia or are thinking about pulling it out of the closet to give it a last-minute look-over.
If you ordered regalia, you may pick it up beginning April 25 at the Grad Fair, which is part of Spring Fling, in the Student Life Center! After April 25, pick up your regalia in the college bookstore. Remember, faculty need to return their regalia to the bookstore no later than May 20.
The big day is coming up soon – 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the BERGLUND CENTER across from Magic City Ford on Williamson Road.
1. Please plan to arrive by 5:30 p.m. There is plenty of parking on site but plan on arriving early to beat the Friday evening traffic. Be prepared for any back-ups that may happen on I-581 or Williamson Road.
2. Enter through the Exhibit Hall where the balloons are located. You may PARK IN LOT D and enter through the back of the Exhibit Hall, or other parking areas if Lot D is full. Once in the Exhibit Hall, you will be directed to the appropriate parlor room or changing area as needed.
We will have four faculty leaders to lead faculty lines into the arena, and Ms. Mary Karet will serve as Faculty Marshal. The guest speaker will be Virginia Senator Chris Head, 3rd District.
Doors will open to the public at 5pm. Berglund Center staff will check bags at gates 12, 1 and 2. Guests needing assistance should enter through Gate 2. Ushers will direct those needing handicapped seating to the appropriate areas.
