Applications Being Accepted for *NEW* Professional Development Funds

Application Period for Current Fiscal Year:  3/6/2024 – 3/13/2024

The Ad-Hoc Committee for Professional Development is now accepting applications for professional development opportunities that have or will occur during the time period of 7/1/2023 – 4/15/2024.

The Professional Development program is open to non-probationary full-time faculty rank and non-probationary full-time classified employees in accordance with DHRM and VCCS policy.

The Professional Development Request form can be located on VWConnect under Human Resources and Policies and Procedures:

Please email completed forms to Lindsey Weston at lweston@virginiawestern.edu by 11:59 p.m. on 3/13/2024. Late applications will not be accepted or reviewed by the committee.

Applications will be reviewed by the Ad-Hoc Committee the week after the application deadline with award letters sent out the week of 3/25/2024.

***Please note that there is a quick turnaround for the application period for this fiscal year due to constraints with using funds by 6/30/2024***

Application Period for 1st Half of Next Fiscal Year:  3/6/2024 – 5/31/2024

The Ad-Hoc Committee for Professional Development is also accepting applications for professional development opportunities that will occur during the time period of 4/16/2024 – 12/31/2024.

Please email completed forms to Lindsey Weston at lweston@virginiawestern.edu by 11:59 p.m. on 5/31/2024. Late applications will not be accepted or reviewed by the committee.

Applications will be reviewed by the Ad-Hoc Committee the week after the application deadline with award letters sent out the week of 6/10/2024.
