Hearing Hope: 2021-2022 Employee Giving Campaign

We aren’t making noise or a big fanfare this year. Because we’re listening. We’ve learned so much from our students this past year.  And of all we’ve heard about their needs, it’s the power of their spirit to rise and succeed that speaks the loudest.  Be a voice of hope.  By supporting the 2021-2022 Employee Giving Campaign, we can all make a real difference in the lives and futures of our students. In light of their greatest needs, please consider supporting one of these top priorities:

  1. Virginia Western’s Community College Access Program promises up to 3 years of tuition for eligible high school graduates and needed now more than ever, as nationwide up to 30% of high school graduates are falling through the cracks.  A gift to the  CCAP2 Campaign-All Localities will make college possible and increase enrollment in our entire service area.  Please, help us meet a $250,000 matching challenge gift to close this major giving campaign by December 2021!  Literally, every dollar counts.
  2. Virginia Western Rapids Response Student Emergency Fund helps our students in crisis- those now facing dire employment, housing, food, medical or technology needs.  Response time occurs in as little as 24-48 hours.
  3. The Virginia Western Forward Endowment Fund: a vision of Dr. Charles W. Steger, Jr. builds permanent, flexible and visionary support of the College now and always.
