The CCAP Jazz Honor Band presented by Trane is a unique jazz presentation by talented local high school musicians. Support the arts and Virginia Western's Community College Access Program. The Educational Foundation has reserved some tickets for Virginia Western faculty and staff. INFO: Selected high school jazz students from Roanoke Valley high schools participating in CCAP will perform. Brandon Lee, a renowned jazz trumpeter will be the guest conductor.

Every May, state agencies across Virginia will celebrate the hard work and dedication that state employees provide to the Commonwealth of Virginia through recognition events in honor of Virginia Employee Public Service Week.

- Jelly Beans Guessing Game Be the employee to guess the closest amount of jelly beans and win the jar of candy!
- Name that Employee and Recognition Line-Up Have fun while you eat by matching recognition statements made on You Make the Difference Cards to the recipient, and identifying pictures of co-workers. The employee that matches the most correct responses will receive a prize!
You will also have the opportunity to recognize an accomplishment or a noteworthy action of a co-worker on a paper brick wall for the college’s Wall of Fame. Three (3) employees will be awarded a recognition reward based on the recognition action (brick) completed by your peers. The VWCC bricks will be proudly displayed on the college's Wall of Fame during the traditional Public Service Week, May 4 – 10th.
