Library Hours During Spring Break, March 3 – 8

Brown Library’s main floor (the Link Learning Commons), the Math Center, and the top floor (reference and circulation desks) will be open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. The Link Learning Commons and the top floor of the library will also be open as usual from 9am to 1pm on Saturday. The Math Center will reopen at its regular hours at 8am on Monday, March 11.

The Testing Center, Writing Center, and computer lab on the ground floor will maintain their regular hours.

Student Engagement In Higher Education


The Gallup Organization surveys thousands of students yearly to determine what keeps them engaged. Learn more about the Student Engagement in Higher Education model designed from that information.

Virginia Western Blue Stars, or not?

Virginia Western is accepting suggestions to change the name of its sports teams.  These sports include men's basketball, men's soccer, women's basketball, women's volleyball, and other intramural teams.  The current team name is the Virginia Western Blue Stars.

What would be a great name for our teams?
