Staff Senate

The next Staff Senate Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at 10 a.m. In W310.

All full and part-staff classified staff are encouraged to attend.

Scrap Paper

The LTC is in need of scrap paper. The paper must be clean on one side; with no personal information belonging to students or staff on the other.

Virginia Western Recycling

Virginia Western is dedicated to recycling as an ongoing initiative. Recently the service provided to remove our recyclables from campus was interrupted. Virginia Western is working diligently to replace this service ASAP. We are leaving out the green recycling bins so people do not get out of the established habit of using them. During this brief gap in service there are 2 choices, either continue to use the green bins or temporarily dispose of your recyclables off campus. We hope to have a solution soon and will post to the bulletin when service is restored.

Special Notice Concerning College Deliveries

When submitting eVA orders, please be sure to indicate the Ship To Address on your orders.  This is accomplished by clicking on the drop down menu next to Ship To: and choosing one of the address selections listed in the link below:


Companies have delivered packages to the FMS building with no indication of who the package is for and during hours when the college is closed.  When at all feasible, packages should be delivered directly to the buildings and/or department or division.  If packages are delivered to FMS directly, receiving hours are 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Packages are not received when the college is closed on weekends or on holidays.  If a fork lift is needed in order to offload an order, an advanced notice of 24 hours is required.

Best practice would suggest that we make vendors aware of our holiday closings and request delivery prior to any holiday breaks. This can be done by adding a comment to the order and clicking in the box that makes it visible to the vendor.
