Women’s Volleyball Pink Out!

The Women's Volleyball team will host Pink Out matches on Saturday, October 20 at 2:30 PM.  Please come and wear your pink to support the Blue Stars and breast cancer awareness.


 The Office of Pregnant & Parenting Student Services (OPPSS) Program will have a table with information and items to give away to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Please stop by the OPPSS Information Table on Thursday October 18, 2012 on the 3rd Floor of Webber from 11am- 1pm to pick up great items about Breast Cancer Awareness and resource information about Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault.

The Hall Career Center offers a number of events throughout each semester. We started a program last year called  "Passport" to your future. This program has a lot of events included in it that you can have students attend for extra credit or as a class assignment such as:

Casting Call for Virginia Western Students

The Virginia Western Marketing Department will hold a screen test for upcoming college marketing projects on Thursday, October 11th. Students will have an opportunity to provide a short screen test and may either come with a prepared script or a script will be provided. Students may bring props which reflect your personality, hobby, or career pathway. We are scouting for video and print publications. Students should be in good academic standing. Students may contact publicrelations@virginiawestern.edu to sign up.

October is Cybersecurity Month – Cybersecurity Tip #1

Set strong passwords and change them often - Set secure passwords at least 8 characters in length containing at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 number and/or special character.  Do not use common words, phrases or personal information in your passwords.  Passwords are like underwear, you need to change them often!
