Construction Management Certificate Program ScholarshipFunds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for tuition, books and fees to students who meet the following requirements: (a) enrolled in at least two classes per semester in the Construction Management Career Studies Certificate Program until completion of program, (b) maintain a cumulative 2.0 grade average, (c) have completed a High School degree or GED. No minimum GPA is required for new students to apply for the Scholarship. The Scholarship is automatically renewable each semester if requirements are maintained. Regardless, if you feel passionate about raising awareness around addiction and the effect it has on loved ones, then this is your scholarship to apply for.

The scholarship provides assistance for tuition, books and fees to students enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits in any program of study at Virginia Western Community College. Two students per academic year will be considered depending on available funds. Funds may be utilized for life expenses once academic components are exhausted. Applicants must possess a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. While students may be awarded in consecutive semesters (Fall and Spring) within an academic year, prior recipients will not be eligible for funding in subsequent academic years. Two recommendations must be submitted with the scholarship application; one academic and one personal. An additional specific personal statement is required with the application, and guidelines will be made available in the application packet. The recipient is required to share a letter of thanks with the Donor and, if comfortable, to attach said personal statement with this correspondence. Priority will be given to students whose lives have been affected by addiction and/or who wish to raise awareness about this issue.
