Treanor, president of Virginia Western, will be inaugurated on Friday, Sept. 26. Her presidential portrait was unveiled at a ceremony Monday, and a metal ring etched with her signature was added to the College mace.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Treanor has served as College president since July 1, 2025. As is customary in the Virginia Community College System, she will now receive official investiture in the president\u2019s role at a ceremony honoring her service in education and commitment to Virginia Western\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amid speakers from the campus community and beyond, Dr. David Dor\u00e9, Chancellor of the VCCS, will administer the oath of office and present Dr. Treanor with the Presidential Medallion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before joining Virginia Western, Dr. Treanor served as Provost and Senior Vice President for Instructional Services at Vincennes University.
