To be eligible for the project, a student must currently be enrolled in classes at a participating college in the Virginia Community College System. The project is open to U.S. military active duty service members; U.S. military active duty\/veteran spouses; and U.S. military veterans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eligible students who are interested can receive information from the Military Student Center and apply online. The DVS delivered an initial round of laptops on March 6. Because this is an active program with regular resupplies, if the College’s supply runs out, students should still apply so they can get added to a waiting list for the next delivery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project is part of the DVS’ Military Education and Workforce Initiative (MEWI), which assists veterans and service members with their transition from active duty to civilian life.
