Welcome to Brown Library, a valuable partner for Virginia Western's students and faculty. Library staff can introduce students to the library and its resources, help students develop information literacy skills, and find sources for research papers. Staff can also prepare specialized instruction for a class at the professor's request.
Library instruction is meant to support an assignment so please include details of the assignment. After you submit the form below, a library staff member will contact you. Instruction sessions are held in the library classroom on the Main Floor, unless you request otherwise. It is important that the instructor remain with the class and participate in it.
Library staff is pleased to work with faculty teaching ENG 111 and their students. Library instruction for these students covers the following topics:
Faculty members may bring their classes to the library to use the electronic databases or other library materials. A librarian is always available to work with the instructor and the class. These sessions must be scheduled in advance if you wish to reserve the computers. Please call 540-857-7438 or e-mail Dale Dulaney at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a date and time.
