Do I need a d-list or a shared email account?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A d-list<\/strong> does not store the emails, they are forwarded to individual accounts. When you reply to an email received, it comes from your individual email, not the d-list email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A shared email account<\/strong> is a separate email account that more than one person has access to.  To access the account, you must log on through Office 365 Webmail. Replies to emails come from the shared account’s address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To request a d-list or shared email account, you must complete a\u00a0Security Access Request Form<\/a>\u00a0(SARF). You will receive an email from the Help Desk when the account has been created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To request a d-list<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Access the electronic SARF on VWConnect (see the link above for assistance). Complete all of the information at the top of the form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. For “Is this request for an existing employee?”<\/strong>, mark Yes. In the comment field, enter what the request is for.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. For “Is this a position or department change?”<\/strong>, mark No.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. For “Name Change?”<\/strong>, mark No.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. For “Replacement of VWCC Employee?”<\/strong>, mark No.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Check the box next to D-list email account needed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Check either Yes or No for “D-list needs to receive emails from off campus?”.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Select the option for D-list<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. In the Name of account <\/strong>field, enter the email address you would like.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Select the names of the employees that you want to receive the email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Put the name of the supervisor at the bottom of the form. The supervisor cannot be the same person listed at the top of the form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    To request a shared email account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
