This session introduces faculty and staff to <strong>VCCS-approved AI tools<\/strong>\u2014including Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, NotebookLM, and Google AI Studio\u2014and explores how these platforms can support instructional design, research, and administrative tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants will gain practical insights into the capabilities of each tool, learn strategies for integrating AI into their teaching practices, and review ethical and pedagogical best practices to ensure responsible and effective use. By the end of the session, attendees will be equipped with actionable ideas to leverage AI while maintaining academic integrity and fostering student success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Facilitated by Will Moore, Virginia Peninsula Community College<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vccs.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/4bzD9dqqSuG5WpBqEHRoxw#\/registration\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/vccs.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/4bzD9dqqSuG5WpBqEHRoxw#\/registration\"><strong>REGISTER HERE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI for Higher Education Staff: Practical Applications and Human + AI Collaboration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>November 9\u201318, 2026<br>(live sessions on 11\/9, 11\/11, 11\/16, and 11\/18 from 2:30-3:30pm ET)<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/events.educause.edu\/ai-for-higher-education-staff-practical-applications-and-human-ai-collaboration\"><em>See additional dates here\u2192<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI for Higher Education Staff supports higher education professionals in developing a <strong>practical and adaptable approach to working with AI<\/strong>. Through asynchronous guided exploration and live discussions, participants build confidence experimenting with AI tools while maintaining human oversight as technologies and expectations continue to evolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>2-week online program<\/strong> includes 5 modules and takes a minimum of 5\u20136 hours to complete.
