As the semester gets underway, we would like to offer a friendly reminder about campus parking requirements.&nbsp; Please review the college&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiawestern.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-Campus-Map-with-Building-Key-Letter-size.pdf\">Campus Map<\/a> to familiarize yourself with the proper parking locations.&nbsp; We ask that you arrive at the campus early, so you limit the stress of finding a parking space at the last minute.&nbsp; Students and employees should park in their designated parking areas and lots.&nbsp; Campus Police will enforce the college&#8217;s parking policy (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiawestern.edu\/about\/legal-and-policies\/policies\/financial-administrative-policies\/ii-301\/\">Policy Number: II-301<\/a>) and may be issuing parking tickets for violations.&nbsp; <em>Note: due to ongoing construction in various areas of campus, please check lot signage each day before parking.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where should you park??&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>White-lined<\/strong> parking spaces are student parking areas (unless otherwise noted by signage).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Yellow-lined<\/strong> parking spaces are Staff\/Faculty parking areas (unless otherwise noted by signage).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Disabled\/Handicap <\/strong>parking spaces require a DMV Handicap Placard or DMV issued license plate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Stork <\/strong>parking spaces require a written parking permit issued by Campus Police.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Police and Maintenance<\/strong> spaces should remain clear for the purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parking lots 11 &amp; 12<\/strong> (Fishburn Hall and Brown Library) require either a yellow or green employee parking hangtag.&nbsp; Please take note of the specific parking signs placed at the curbing of each space and park accordingly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those who are new to Virginia Western you should know that we do have an abundance of parking on campus.&nbsp; Unfortunately, parking may not be readily available near your classroom.&nbsp; Please allot yourself sufficient time each day to find parking so the semester starts out smoothly.&nbsp; If a ticket for a violation were to be issued, you may follow the parking appeal requirements found within the college&#8217;s parking policy, or you may visit the college&#8217;s Finance Office (cashier) located in the Thomas Center to settle the matter.&nbsp;
