Please review the following for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is changing for students?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The general look of MyVWCC will remain the same.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They may need to reset their password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will need to sign up for the TOTP MFA Multifactor Authentication (MFA) method.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If they currently use the PING ME &#8211; PUSH MFA method with the Rapid Identity App, they will need to set up a new MFA option.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step-by-step instructions can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiawestern.edu\/iet-services\/myvwcc_mfa_instructions\/\">the VWCC website here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who will this affect?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students will start using the new portal on September 23, 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faculty and Staff started using the new MyVWCC on August 12, 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why are we moving to a new version of MyVWCC?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It has been three years since VCCS moved to the current version, which included MFA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The new version of Rapid Identity allows quicker updates, patches, and new features.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div style=\"border: 3px solid #000000; border-radius: 0%; background-color: inherit; \" class=\"ub-styled-box ub-bordered-box wp-block-ub-styled-box\" id=\"ub-styled-box-bce0828a-6e3b-4afa-b831-21626effed90\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ub-styled-box-bordered-content-bc0ae594-5fb9-48c3-a0b8-f3fa355b3f21\"><strong>What do I need to do?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>On September 23<\/strong>, remind students to log into the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vw.my.vccs.edu\/\">MyVWCC portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step-by-step instructions can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiawestern.edu\/iet-services\/myvwcc_mfa_instructions\/\">the VWCC website here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Who do I contact for help?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For further assistance, contact the Help Desk at (540) 857-7354, Monday &#8211; Friday, 7:45 AM &#8211; 5:00 PM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students will start using the new MyVWCC portal on Monday, September 23, 2024.
