Paul D. Camp Community College is currently recruiting for the following full time administrative faculty position:  Vice President of Instruction and Student Development

Paul D. Camp Community College invites applications for the position of Vice President of Instruction and Student Development. The Vice President reports directly to the president and serves on the college’s Executive Staff.


The Vice President of Instruction and Student Development provides strategic, college-wide leadership for the development and delivery of educational and student service programs of the highest quality for PDCCC’s service area of Southeast Virginia.  As the college’s chief academic officer, the position oversees administration of the instructional program and also serves as the chief student services officer. 


Among the full range of required knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position and posted on the college’s web site at http://www.pdc.edu/, qualified candidates will possess: 1) an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university; 2) progressively responsible, successful experience in higher education administration; 3) proven leadership in a highly complex organization structure, with experience in a multi-campus community college setting preferred; 4) demonstrated ability to conduct long range planning relative to Academic and Student Development; to coordinate programs with a wide range of college faculty and staff, as well as with community and business leaders; to supervise assigned staff and build a highly effective working team; 5) demonstrated commitment to fostering the development of the whole student; 6) proven ability to promote the professional growth of faculty and staff; and 7) experience in teaching at the collegiate level and/or experience as a counselor or administrator in an academic or student services area, preferably in a community college setting.

As a Vice President, the chosen candidate must live in the service area (Cities of Franklin, Suffolk, and Counties of Southampton or Isle of Wight).
