Pharmacy Technician ProgramThe NEW Virginia Western Community College Pharmacy Technician Training Program is accepting applications! Program Dates:Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 15, 2012 through September 28, 2012, 6:00 pm until 9:30 pm in the Fishburn Hall Workforce Development Training Room, Suite F01 on the Main Campus of Virginia Western Community College. Costs:$1,599 includes all books, materials and instructions for the class. While students in this non-credit program are not eligible for Federal Pell grants or traditional State/local tuition assistance programs, information on possible assistance options will be shared at the Information Sessions. Requirements:Students must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. Students must be computer literate and have access to a computer with Internet access, an email address and printing capabilities. Students must complete Virginia Western’s Compass Tests and show the ability to read, write and do math equivalent to the 9th -10th grade level (PreAlgebra 41, Writing 33, Reading 69). While no specific limits are prescribed by this program, students are advised that the State and National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board and many employers will have restrictions and limits. |
