Career Exploration & Enrichment Camps (for grades 2-12) will run June 18, 2012 – August 10, 2012. Topics will include Arts, Culinary, Etiquette, Forensics, Health
Technology, Horticulture, Mechatronics, Music, Robotics, Science and more!

Greenfield Education & Training Camp (Daleville)
Students are responsible for their own supplies for each camp. Prior to each camp, parents will receive a list of
supplies needed. Because all camps are 9am – 3pm, students should bring one snack and their lunch daily. To register or for

Art Camps:
Monsters, Unicorns, and Puppies. . . Oh My! $150
June 18 – 22 (9am – 3pm)
This five-day camp will teach students how to draw animals and creatures of all sorts using simple shapes. This camp is geared toward 7-12 year old students.
Super Heroes, Athletes, Fashion Models and More $150
July 9 – 13 (9am – 3pm)
This five-day camp will teach students how to draw people with simple shapes. Students will work from live models to learn how to
draw figures in many different action poses. These drawings can easily be turned into characters of every kind. This camp is geared toward 7-12 year old students.
Crazy Cartoons $150
July 23 – 27 (9am – 3pm)
This five-day camp teaches students how to take a character form an idea and turn it into a cartoon strip or a graphic novel. Students
will learn how to draw figures and faces as well as writing story lines. This camp is geared toward 10 – 16 year old students.
Students in this camp may also like the Graphics + Stories camp (July 16 – 20, 9am – 3pm)

Tales of 1,001 Nights $150
June 18-June 22, 9 am-3 pm. Rising 5th to 9th graders.
Travel the Silk Road with Aladdin, Ali Baba, and the genies. Hear its stories and see its arts, buildings,
and landscapes. Make an Aladdin’s lamp, your own “flying carpet,” and stencil a jali screen. Invite your family to our bazaar on Friday afternoon.
Bridges, Past to Present $150
June 25-29, 9 am-3 pm. Rising 5th to 9th graders.
Explore the science, history, and stories of bridges. Experience tension, compression, shear, torsion, and load through role-play,
virtual bridge-building, and making actual models. Learn how bridges have been homes, shopping centers, and water systems. Host a
bridge exhibit for your family on Friday afternoon.
Finding Sherlock Holmes $150
July 9-13, 9 am-3 pm. Rising 6th to 9th graders.
Seek Sherlock Holmes in the original stories begun in 1887 through present day film depictions. Was he a brilliant
gentleman or a mentally-ill misfit? Learn about the history and science of crime detection, Scotland Yard, and
Edwardian London. Take part in a readers’ theater for your family on Friday afternoon.
Graphics + Stories $150
Rising 6th to 9th graders, 9 am-3 pm. July 16-20, 9 am-3 pm.
Create a short graphic novel by combining computer technology with hand production. Learn about the history of
comic books as entertainment and teaching tools. Compare and contrast films which have grown out of this genre.
Share your work at an author’s reading on Friday afternoon. Students in this camp may also like the Crazy Cartoons camp July 23 – 27, 9am – 3pm.
Master of Suspense: Reviewing Hitchcock $75
July 23-July 27, 12pm (noon) -3 pm. Ages 12 and up.
Learn about the craft of film review and explore the techniques of director Alfred Hitchcock. View the seldom-seen
film "The 39 Steps" and "The Lady Vanishes" from Hitchcock's early career. Watch as he builds his signature style
in "Rear Window," "North by Northwest," and "The Birds." Share your reviews on Friday afternoon.
