Virginia Western Community College is pleased to be participating with other colleges throughout the Commonwealth to offer our services to dislocated, unemployed, and underemployed adult workers through a grant from the Trade Adjustment Assistance program. Working hand in hand with partner agencies, it is our goal to guide adults in transition into post-secondary training and education programs that will enable them to reach their career goals.

  • Setting learning goals and overcoming obstacles

Training & Certifications

Learn more about short-term routes to employment. Industry certifications may be the quickest and least expensive route to achieving your career goals.

Receive assistance with:

  • Determining the program and provider that best helps you obtain your career goals
  • Applying for college and financial aid
  • Preparing for entrance exams
  • Navigating the college experience

Post Education & Certification Service

Take advantage of the partnerships we have created with local employers that offer on the job training (OJT), internships, and job placement.
