Camp Schedule

The camp runs from July 9-20th

The daily camp schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-2:00pm

Camp will meet in Whitman Theatre on the Virginia Western Campus.
Dress Rehearsal is July 20th at 6:00pm (Whitman Theatre) and the final performance will be 6:00pm, July 21st.

Two options are available for this year's camp:

• 1. Full two weeks, July 9-20, Tuition is $295
• 2. 2nd week only, July 16-20, Tuition is $150
• (Everyone participates in the dress rehearsal and final performance)

Places are limited.
Registration is on a first-come first-served basis.
Deadline for registration is June 15th.

Welcome!

Theatre and kids go together like peanut butter and jelly. Kids are naturally creative. Our aim is to nurture these natural talents and allow them to grow. We believe studying the art and craft of theatre offers opportunities to learn a love of the arts as well as valuable life skills. While creating a full production, participants will also learn to work as a team and build language and communication skills, self-confidence, and respect. All participants will have a part in the production, help build the set and design the costumes. This is a hands-on, full-participation, fun-filled two-week session of theatre magic!

In the two week camp session participants will learn:

Theatre basics
Movement
Improvisation
Production basics
How to be a good performer
Being a good audience member
Character development

No previous experience is necessary. We believe that every child is a natural star!

Registration Instructions

You may register either online or by mail.

To register online complete the application here. Payment for online registration must be made by mail or by calling the VWCC Cashier's Office at 857-7201 for a credit card payment.


To register by mail, download and complete the application here. Then mail the application and a check to the address listed below.

Registration will be accepted when payment is completed on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited to ensure quality instruction and supervision. The deadline for registration is June 15th.
No payments will be refunded after July 10th.

A confirmation will be sent to you by email when your registration is received.

A packet with further instructions will be mailed to all registered participants in early July. A Camp T-shirt will be provided on the first day of camp.

A limited amount of scholarship funding is available. Contact the Virginia Western Educational Foundation at 857-7312 for information and an application. Scholarship applications are due June 1st. Scholarship applicants should go ahead and submit their applications to secure a space. A space will be held for all scholarship applicants until scholarship decisions have been made.
