Change/Reset Your Password

Change Your Password

To change your password, you must first Login to MyVWCC with your current password.

  1. Click Login to MyVWCC on the left of this screen.
  2. Enter your Username and current Password. Your username is not your Student ID. If you do not know your Username, click New to your college? Look up your username and set your password.
  3. Click Log In.
  4. Click Change My Password.

  5. Enter your Current Password.

  6. Enter your New Password. Your new password must have at least eight characters but not more than 10. Your password must contain a combination of:
    • At least one uppercase letter
    • At least one lowercase letter
    • At least one number (0-9)
  7. Retype Your New Password.
  8. Enter the answer to your security question. PLEASE NOTE! Pay attention to how you spell the answer, including capitalization.

  9. Click Next.

Please allow up to 10 minutes for your new password to become active.

Reset your Forgotton Password

  1. Click Login to MyVWCC on the left of this screen.
  2. Click New to your college? Look up your username and set your password.
  3. Enter your First Name and Last Name as they appear on official college documents.
  4. Enter your six-digit birthdate (birth month, day, year).
  5. Enter your Social Security Number (SSN). If you failed to provide your Social Security Number (SSN) at the time of application to the college, contact the Admissions Office at (540) 857-7231.

  6. Click Search.
  7. If required, enter the Answer to your security question.

  8. Click Submit.
  9. Enter a new Password. Your new password must have at least eight characters but not more than 10. Your password must contain a combination of:
    • At least one uppercase letter
    • At least one lowercase letter
    • At least one number (0-9
  10. Retype the new Password.

  11. If required, scroll down on the page and create a Security Question and Answer.
  12. Click Next.

Please allow up to 10 minutes for your new password to become active. Remember to Sign Out to ensure the security and privacy of your account information.
