Join us for the STEM-H Career Exploration Summit and Employment Fair on

Friday, October 17 at the Fralin Center

Career Exploration Summit:  10am-12:30pm

For High School students and undecided VWCC students.  Learn more about careers in STEM-H from employers to help you choose the right program.

Employment Fair:  1pm-3pm

Connect with employers looking to hire students/graduates in STEM-H fields. Bring your resume!

Met Opera Live in HD Series at Virginia Western

Mark your calendar now to attend the 2014-15 Met Opera Live in HD Series at Virginia Western. All performances are held in Whitman Theater with a pre-opera talk by Scott Williamson of Opera Roanoke. Prices are $21.50 (adults) and $19.50 (senior citizens and MET Opera members) through the Jefferson Center or at the door. Link Labs – M302 and B17

The Link Labs are available for currently enrolled students to utilize. They are both equipped with lab assistants that can answer general questions in regards to certain course content. M302 is the only link lab that offers AutoCAD and various IST/CSC software programs.

Link Lab - B17 is located on the bottom floor of Brown Library, directly across from the Testing Center. The hours of B17 are:

  • Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Link Lab - M302 is located on the 3rd floor of the Business Science building. The hours of M302 are:

  • Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Link Labs are closed when the campus is closed.

Rapids Pep Rally

Come out to support you Virginia Western Rapids basketball team! There will be a skills challengs, 3 point shoot out, and a dunk contest. The basketballl team will also be collecting non-parishable food for the local food shelter.

DMV 2 Go

Can't get to the DMV? The DMV is coming here!

The DMV mobile unit will be in parking lot 1 in front of the Natural Science Center on Thursday, October 16th, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The wireless office on wheels offers all DMV services:

  • Apply for or renew your ID card - children and adults.
  • Apply for or renew your driver's license - take road and knowledge tests; get your picture taken, reinstate driving privileges.
  • Get a copy of your driving record.
  • Obtain vehicle titles, license plates, decals, transcripts.
