WHEN: Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m.

INFO: Selected high school jazz students from Roanoke Valley high schools participating in CCAP will perform. Brandon Lee, a renowned jazz trumpeter will be the guest conductor.

Brandon Lee, a jazz trumpeter, joined the faculty at The Julliard School as the youngest member to date in 2008. Having first attended The Julliard School in 2001 as a young student in the inaugural class of the Jazz Studies program, he also received his Bachelors of Music in 2005 and Masters of Music in 2007 from the school. He now is Assistant Professor for the Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He will be leading the Jazz Institute at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke in the summer of 2014.
