Madison Society Debate

Come out to the biannual debate hosted by The Madison Society! Refreshments will be provided along with a dinner. The debate topic this semester is, Should The United States Legalize The Use of Marijuana? There will be two teams made up of Pro and Con students. Each student will speak their views and rebuttal against each other. The judges will determine which team presented their information the best and award them. Another award will be given to the best public speaker also determined by the judges. The event will be fun and exciting! It will be located in the Natural Science Center from 7 pm-9 pm on Friday, April 25. So come out and decide for yourself, Pot or Not?

Free Fitness Assessments

Hello VWCC Students, the Exercise Science and Personal Training Program here at VWCC invites you to complete a FREE FITNESS ASSESSMENT in the Humanities Gym, Thursday April 17th from 10-11:30a.  Our students will test your Cardiovascular Endurance, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Flexibility, and Body Composition (Body Fat and BMI).  This event is open to all VWCC students, faculty, and staff.  Full assessments take about 20 minutes, come in comfortable clothing and sneakers.  There will be sign in sheets for any instructors offering extra credit.

Yoga in the Park

Hello VWCC Students, as we begin to prepare for final push of the Spring 2014 semester, the Exercise Science Club invites you to join us for Yoga in the Park.

This event is open to all VWCC students, faculty, and staff and will be held Thursday April 17th,  12 noon – 1pm,  on campus near the gazebo in the Arboretum.  We have DJ Digital Red spinning yoga tunes and we will hold a 1 hour class of some refreshing Yoga and meditation.  Take some time for you as we prepare for exams!  In the event of inclement weather will hold the workout in the Humanities Gym, same time.

Bring your yoga mat if you have one, we do have a limited number available.    Come on out and bring a friend.  Namaste!
