WHAT: CCAP Jazz Honor Band Concert presented by Trane

WHEN: Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m.

WHERE: The Jefferson Center--Shaftman Performance Hall

COST: $8 for students

INFO: Selected high school jazz students from Roanoke Valley high schools participating in CCAP will perform. Brandon Lee, a renowned jazz trumpeter will be the guest conductor.

Come check out all the technology and labs inside the Fralin Center this weekend when the Virginia Western Alumni Association hosts an Open House at the Fralin Center for Science and Health Professions. Learn about all the health professions programs housed in the Fralin Center, speak with Roanoke Valley health professions service providers at the vendor fair, and enjoy free refreshments and prizes. The event is open to the public. Please invite former students who may be interested in what is going on at Virginia Western!

Smoking Areas

The College’s Clean Air Policy currently prohibits smoking in all areas of the south campus except in the designated shelter located adjacent to Humanities in Lot 1E.  The South Campus is described as any area between Colonial Avenue and State Route 220.  This includes Webber, Chapman, Craig and Duncan Halls the Natural Science Center, Arboretum, Greenhouse, Humanities Building and the Thomas Center.  This also includes all parking lots, sidewalks and common areas.

Smoking on the south side of campus is limited to outside areas that are at least 25 feet from any building entrance.

The discarding of cigarette butts on the ground as litter on campus may subject the person to a criminal fine for littering.
