Blue Stars? Vote Today!

Virginia Western is accepting suggestions to change the name of its sports teams.  These sports include men's basketball, men's soccer, women's basketball, women's volleyball, and other intramural teams.  The current team name is the Virginia Western Blue Stars.

Women’s Basketball Open gym cancelled tonight

The women's basketball open gym is cancelled for tonight, Wednesday, February 26th. Open gyms will resume March 10.

 

 

No H8 Photoshoot

The Human Rights Club is sponsoring a NO H8 photo shoot on campus. Make a statement to help fight discriminiation. The proceeds will go to The Human Rights Campaign.

Tomorrow - February 27

10 am - 2 pm

Business Science - Room M228 (near the bridge and vending machines).

Sex+Money: A National Search for Human Worth

Sex+Money: A National Search for Human Worth is a documentary about domestic minor sex trafficking and the modern-day abolitionist movement fighting to stop it. Since September 2009, the crew has traveled to over 30 states and conducted more than 75 interviews with federal agents, victims, politicians, activists, psychologists, porn-stars, among others.

VWCAN is hosting a Meet, Eat, and Greet to show the documentary Sex+Money and to see how Roanoke, VA is getting involved.
